Dunfermline was served by two railway stations (Dunfermline Upper and Dunfermline Lower) up until 1968 when the Upper station closed to passenger traffic (although it remained relatively complete until the track was lifted in 1986 prior to demolition in 1990). Here we see Glen Quoich leaving Dunfermline Upper Station with an eastbound local passenger train heading towards Touch North Junction on 28th March 1959, although judging by the length of the train, it was not a particularly taxing affair.
